We've had a lovely weekend celebrating Marco's 1st Birthday. I don't know where the last year has gone! Here he is playing in the 'builders tray' I bought for the garden. There are lots of ideas for how to use a builders tray for small world play in my book 'The Little Book of Small World Play' published by Featherstone. (also available on Amazon) Ideal for anyone who works with children. (a little plug there!) (A girl needs to subsidise her crafting goodies somehow!)

Actually I do use shaving foam in the builders tray with children to practise writing! Crafting and teaching sometimes go hand in hand!
What a gorgeous photo - one for the scrapbook? I remember the trays well, cornflour and water was always my favourite (but not the cleaner's).
